Chef Markus' Package Trained in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, Master Chef Markus Ritter has been in the business of food since 1984 and a master chef since 1998. In addition to being owner and Chef of the Europa Inn & Restaurant in St. Andrews, Chef Markus currently teaches and trains Culinary students at the New Brunswick Community College St Andrews Campus.
Chef Markus apprenticed for two and a half year under master chef Klaus Stadler in Germany and worked at the Hotel Schachener Hof in Lindau. From there, he was chef at Le Grand Chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland. His experiences have taken from aboard the Royal Viking Cruise Line to the IFA Hotel in Wildental, Austria to the Marriott Hotel in Munich where he was Chef Garde Manger.
In 1998, Chef Markus earned his Masters certificate in cooking at Baden-Baden, Germany. After managing at Max & Moritz, Ritter became Sous Chef at Weinstube Gierer in Wasserburg, Germany where he was featured on the German television show, Fahr'mal Hin.
Today, Chef Markus uses vast his experience and knowledge to generate an enthusiasm for fresh local ingredients in his students and a coveted dining experience for his guests. |
